A pressure washer unloader valve is an essential component in a pressure washer system and other high pressure applications that regulates the water flow and controls the pressure in the pump. 

Function of the Unloader Valve

• The unloader valve redirects the flow of water back to the pump inlet when the trigger on the pressure washer gun is released. This prevents a dangerous buildup of pressure within the system.
• It acts as a safety device, releasing pressure and preventing potential damage to the pump and hoses when not in use.

How It Works

• When the trigger is engaged, water flows through the system at the desired pressure.
• When the trigger is released, the unloader valve redirects the water in a continuous loop (back to the pump or out the bypass line), maintaining safe pressure levels without shutting off the pump.

Adjustability and Calibration

• Many unloader valves are adjustable, allowing the operator to set the desired pressure. This is particularly useful for applications requiring varying pressure levels.
